Sign-In sheet and Student Petition to ExxonMobil
This sheet doubles as a sign-in sheet to help you recruit students for future campus climate activities and an action that students can take to pressure ExxonMobil to stop double-crossing America on global warming. Don't forget to send your petition back to Exxpose Exxon so it can be deliverd to ExxonMobil. A postage-paid envelope will be provided in your screening packet. Action Suggestions
1. COLLECT PETITION SIGNATURES FROM YOUR CAMPUS to tell ExxonMobil's CEO Rex Tillerson (aka. T. Rex) to stop funding fake science and front groups (see the sign-in sheet/student petition above). Campus recruiting is big for ExxonMobil, student petitions matter (download petition).
2. TELL T.REX WHAT EXXON COULD BE DOING TO HELP SOLVE GLOBAL WARMING (OR HOW TO SPEND EXXONMOBIL'S PROFITS)!
ExxonMobil’s profits for 2006 hit yet another world-record of nearly $40 billion - the second year in a row that Exxon made more profits than any corporation in history. T. Rex is poised to dump most of those profits right back into polluting oil and gas projects, lobbying against solutions to global warming, and funding groups that mislead the public about global warming.
Bring a digital camera and an erasable white board or white paper to the screening. (See examples.) Afterward, ask the viewers to write in BIG letters a personal message to Rex Tillerson - telling him how Exxon could help curb global warming. Then take a close up picture of them with their message. Don't forget to collect their name, city, state and email. Then upload their photo here. They can then visit the website to see their photo and send it to their friends.
